Would anyone know if this heli may come in a combo motor/esc kind of thing? NOt sure if i need to buy more then just cyclic servos and gyro... or not. :)

I think the initial release will be kit only, I'm sure Greg or Charley will be in here and can ellaborate more, I know the team has been testing out a few different motor and ecs combinations but I don't think that Charley has made a decission yet on what the best combo is, it is getting close though after Mulberry ;)

I have seen the 550 with a scorpion 4035-1390kv on 6S. I think it was Craig and the HS went up to 3000 RPM and actually tweaked the tail case in flight. I think this is the motor to use for extreme 3D. this was at Mulberry.

Yes after Craig swapped out a hacker A40 for the scorpion he forgot to change his throttle curve which resulted in a very high head speed which we guessed to be around 3k head speed which I DO NOT RECCOMMEND AT ALL!!!
After he landed he change the settings to a much safer head speed

I think Craig had a 4020 not a 4035.

Last I talked to Charley he was thinking it would be ready for the market late this month.

diegoaw, the Team was just flying the prototypes at IRCHA in August, 3 months from prototype to full product kit doesn't seem that long, it will hit the streets on Dec 1st from what I've heard. Everyone has been saying the end of November for over a month now.

As Clyde noted around 90 days from prototype to release seems pretty quick to me gives time to test and make sure its fit to release.
The Release Date from the factory is 30 November they will be State Side and shipping to dealers and customers Approx 4-5th December
