It's a slow day at work today, so I'm just poking around HeliDirect to see what I can spend my hard earned money on :YeaBaby: and I was wondering. Has anyone tried hooking up magnets and a sensor such as this http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=174_175&products_id=2011 to the wren/predator output shaft? And gotten accurate RPM reading? Not sure of what use it would be? I suppose if it were accurate you could use it for headspeed?

Just curious.

Fitted to the main gear itself it's great.

How do you prgoramme the gear ratio ? so it gives you the right headspeed?

It looks like half a GV1, without the amp piece...
