I am after some advice on converting my Sceadu 30 into a 50:

Firstly can it be done?
If so, what items do I require?
Has anybody else done this conversion that can offer any advice?

Thanks in advance

There is a conversion kit you can buy to do the job.

The 30 and 50 airframes are exactly the same, unlike the raptor, which also requires a new boom and belt.

I haven't done the conversion, but have owned and flown both the 30 and 50. The 30 is way underpowered, probably because it's really designed to run off a 50 engine. The 50 is quite a different beast, much more powerful and agile.

You might want to just buy the parts separatly, because that muffler that comes with the conversion is junk. If you are on a budget, I'd go with the raptor 50 muffler instead.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, spend ages looking for a conversion kit but couldn't find anything!

Is that all I will need as I though I would need a longer boom, different gearing, blades etc?

I'm pretty sure all you need is that kit, engine and 600mm blades. You will need to tweak your pitch/throttle curves after the switch to get optimum performance.
