it is when the gears in the gearbox are lubricated cooled by afuel/oil mixture drip fed from the engine. The other way of doing it is filling the gearbox with a specific amount of gear oil which lubricates/cools the gears. (like a gearbox in a car). The hobbyparts/vario uses a drip feed (the gearbox is inverted ) and the wren gearbox uses 15ml ( without checking my papers) of hypoid 90 gear oil. Now as to which one is best??? Man i am getting tired of the this one is better than that one posts... All the major turbine/gearbox manufacturers provide an excelent product and service, each set up has its strenghths and thier weaknesses.....which ever one you choose you will love it, i gaurantee if you buy a wren you wont wish you had bought a jetcat, if you buy a jetcat you wont think oh i should have got a wren....you will just be SOOOO happy you have a turbine. And if it crashes/explodes/falls apart its because sh*t happens and especialy when you have explosive fuels and turbines spinning at 140000rpms!!
