Has anyone thought of converting a evo 50 to a 90 size? Can a boom from another hirobo heli suit? Or from a different brand heli, trex, raptor, etc. What do you reckon guys?:thinking

There are several hinderances that would keep a 90-size motor from physically fitting into the Sceadu.
1. you would need to fabricate a new motor mount
2. the Sceadu 50 clutch assembly was not designed to endure the power of a 90
3. the Freya line of tail booms will not fit the Sceadu frames (octagonal vs. round tube)
4. the stock Sceadu rotor head was never designed for the kind of loads that 90-size blades can create
However, if you're feeling industrious, fabricate away, we'd all love to see what you can come up with :)

Thanks for the reply dan! You make some very valid points, i was more thinking of sport flying not 3d, however i have spare frames booms and have a brother who can fabricate things on his cnc equipment. I will have a shot at it and see what happens.

I've seen pics of a couple that are running YS61s in them. I was told it was a relatively simple conversion that basically involved a different motor mount and retapping the fan with the correct threads.
