Hi all,

I just bought a 14MZ and I've got the following issue:

When I want to change the frequency of the Receiver it doesn't work. The TX says that it couldn't communicate with the rx and gives the option to retry or end.
I've tried the way it says in the manual and on the FAQ on the Futaba site. Inside the house, outside,... Nothing seems to work.
I even tried wrapping the rx antenna around the tx antenna...

Any ideas?

Well as you mentioned, it is not good to be inside house trying to change frequencies, especially if you have a wireless router for your PC. Also flourescent lights will interfer with the frequency setting process.

Start the freguency changing process on the 14 MZ. Select the frequency you want. Then push the buttom to transmit the frequency to the receiver. Do not turn power onto the receiver till after the second beep from the transmitter or the second lightening bolt has shown across the display.

That is how I do it and I have had great success changing frequencies. If I turn on the power to the receiver before the second beep or lightening bolt, it will not work.

Also nothing on the transmitter tells you the frequency change has been successful. On the heli the servo that is plugged into channel #1 will twitch slightly when the change is successful. So all you can basically do is to see if they tranny and receiver work together.

Hello,

I had the same problem in the past and suddenly when the I put the TX very close to the receiver it works, no matter or the length of the extended antenna.

Put your Tx as close as possible of your Rx.

Regards.
