Dangerous stunt with spectators nearby!
wasnt dangerous as iv done this many times with diffrent items under
and yes people were near and was well aware of thier positions and new an escape plane
every time i fly i do a risk assesment and factor out as much of the risk
i know how this heli flies with diffrent addons the change the flight characteristics
and this was the most stable in a hover felt no diffrent then with out
i thank you for your concern and yes it may have seemed dangerous but iv do everything known to factor out the risks.
you should see what it looks like when i do it with a full scale ch-47
17000 lbs + of external cargo

i wonder if i am one of the only other people that does a risk assessment before i start work. supposed to lower our safety record.

I still think it was a silly and dangerous stunt; totally unwarranted. But that's just me. It's all fun and games until someone loses and eye! Most accidents and tragedies happen when one is fooling around and or horseplaying. I hope Murphy does not get you one day.

Sokal is one of the Best pilots and Maintainers in the E-flight section. Like an airshow pilot that does inherently unsafe acts in front of people , I am sure he would not do something if he did not feel it was safe.

OK, I'll give you that one; but just because one "feels" a stunt is safe does not make it so. Also, I believe posting stunts like that on the web encourages not so skilled pilots to try to imitate it. Catch my drift?

then i will remember to add a disclaimer to my postings
or not post at all
i like to do slig loads with these it really hones in on control touch and abilitys
and if someone is not up on the type of skill needed then yes
i would never recommend anyone to this. but this is my hobby and it is yours
and we do with it as we feel we are prepared for.

When I am home I fly in airshows, most pilots would not fly the planes I get into, but like Sokal says it is a hobbie and we do with it as we feel prepared for. Dont quit posting Sokal your vids are great.

OK then. Don't mind me. But on TV there is usually a disclaimer for such videos. I just wanted to stress the importance of safety in entertainment. After all, don't folks watch NASCAR for the crashes? Let's all have fun but not at the expense of safety. Our "toys" can be deadly in an instant! Yes, the video is "Crazy"; my point exactly.
