just got a new HBFP I have a blade 400 and tracking the blades on a cp heli is more straight foward. in the instructions on the hb it shows to flex the plastic blades to track them which is not doing any good not to mention they will warp when exposed to heat, cold etc... so how to keep them in track is my question. the little heli has a lot of vibration I balanced the blades and I suspect the tracking is the cause because they are way out of track

When I track my HBFP blades, I first Identify the blade that is the lower of the two when rotating (using the factory installed piece of white tape, or some other method). Then hold that blade with one hand next to where it attaches to the rotor head, then twist the middle and end of the blade so that the trailing edge of the blade gets lower. If you are looking at the tip of the blade, facing the rotor head, you will need to twist the blade clockwise. This will give the blade more lift, and it should raise it up to match the other blade. It will take some trial and error, but I can usually get them to track evenly after a few tries.

I had the same trouble when I first got my HBFP, and I found the method I described above somewhere online - can't remember where - and it has worked for me.

Hope this helps.

Yes, I have to re-track mine periodically.

if you get tired of messing with the blades, consider these carbon fiber ones. I loved the ones I used to have when I had my HBFP, they give you increased response because they don't flex and provide great lift.

$20 a set, if/when I get another HBFP, these would be the first thing I bought for it.
