If you've never done it before, here's a short video I made on how to replace the main motor on the Walkera 4#3B. It isn't hard, but it is very small!

Thank you for taking your time to do this video. I am considering buying one of these shortly and this video ( even though its simple) is a big help. Any chance of doing a video on a tail motor swap? ;)

Thanks again Marc! This video will be VERY helpful when I get mine in a week or two. Why is this your last video?

You're welcome. I wanted to do these instructional videos to learn more about my digital camera. Making vacation videos are more fun though! :YeaBaby:

Well Done AtomicFlyer !

How many flights did your motors last ? My original main motor lasted 12 flights, have about that many on the replacement. So far.... original tail motor.

The flights I get from a motor vary. I've only recorded it a few times on paper, all my other data is anecdotal. The recorded times were 30 to 50 flights.

I've disassembled every motor that failed and it's usually those little "whisker" brushes that just burn up and fall off. A real carbon brushed motor would be nice (there is a guy somewhere that has a video about modifying one with carbon brushes). But for me, they are cheap enough that I just replace.
