hi all

i've a problems with this menu .... i'm going to explain

1 - i've a spartan gyro on my trex700 nitro and i set in AUTO, NORMAL and 85% of gain

2 - i've a csm sl720 on my other trex700 nitro and i set in AUTO, NORMAL and 85% of gain

--------------------------------------

1 works pretty good !!!!!

2 works in normal mode and not in hh mode .... i've to use a very low percentage ( something like 5% ) to have hh and the tail almost ok

what's the problem ???

whats T.LOCK ???

How did u set spartan or csm gyros on 12X radios ????

thanks, Jack

Jack,

I can only answer one of your questions:

T-Lock is "Tail Lock" (heading hold).

I have only used the 12X with Futaba gyros (all in T-Lock mode--401's and 611's) it worked perfectly.

Hopefully someone else will chime in.

By the way, this is the best radio I have owned in 32 years of flying model helicopters.

You can set it to be in "T-Lock" mode or not, using the flight mode switch.

Mine are all set up, in all modes, in "T-Lock" mode.

set it into T-lock mode for headlock.

On my TREX700 when I switched from my 9303 to my 12x I had to change my sens from 62 or 63% on the 9303 to about 36% or so on my 12x.

Really odd they would change that around on us, and I almost crashed my TREX as in forward flight the heli developed a horrible shudder as the tail was "wagging" at a very high rate of speed even effecting the flight ability of the heli until it slowed down. Plus the heli was drawing alot of juice from the RX pack, taking down the RX pack about 3 flights worth of juice in one single flight till I realized what was amiss in the programming.
Hoping my tail servo didn't take too much damage or lifespan about due to the "high" sensitivity that was put in.

My trex 600N TLock value is 28%, 22%, 22% respectively for normal, idle 1 and idle 2. Is this a norm?

If I increase the rate further it will hunt/ vibrate..

The gain number you end up with is only appropriate for YOUR heli. Different headspeed, different tail blades, different setups can all effect the gain. If it works (holds the tail and no wag) then you are fine.

Would 37% gain be ok to start with on my 600n?
