nice! looks like Align decided to not include a gyro (GP700 or GX700) with this package as initially proposed. also, looks like we will be able to use a GY401 size gyro with this heli. see here...

modena, you're the man!

basic - about $201 USD
combo - about $246 USD
super combo - about $396 USD

gaui will need to lower the pricing on the 200 or they will be killed.

Very nice. I do have to laugh though at the "Keep receiver more than 5cm away from ESC" and both examples given they are mounted literally right next to each other.

If that happens I will be hard pressed to buy a new initial offering from Align when Gaui has perfected their proven design with the new bulletproof V2 version.

I like the Trex but I love my G200 and am waiting for the V2 with open arms.

At 200 bucks for a airframe I will prolly get a T250 as well.. cant have too many little yard birds.

So you have tried the Gaui V2 then already? Noone know how eather will fly yet, so calling one bulletproof before anyone have tried it seems a wee bit bias.

the gaui 200 has been around for a while. gaui has listened to our problems we have encountered, and done something about it by working with us. if you are a V1 owner, you know what i'm talking about. the changes they have made can only improve on an already proven platform. biased? i guess you could say it's more of a brand loyalty. (ford, chevy, dodge) when the manufacturer improves their design based on our input over the last several months, they have certainly earned my respect and loyalty. but that doesn't mean i won't buy a trex 250. align makes a great heli, and no one can deny that. i'm sure the 250 will fly great.

just my .02 cents

I would not be surprised if Align has picked up a thing or two from the Gaui as well, and in my book the added size of the Trex will help on stability and overal feel I hope. My only point is that until we have tried both designs, noone knows what we are looking at. Calling the Gaui bulleproof or a sure winner at this point is just silly in my opinion, brand loyalty or not.

added size? you do know they are roughly the same size... just Aligns crazy numbering again.

and yes when you have over a year + head start as well as the flybarless setup working and on the street when competing with a new "copied" design you don't think the existing product has a small advantage?

and If the price match rumors are true and from the posts of several Gaui insiders it looks like it is... the war is on!

BTW here is a link already jumping on the price war with a V1 G200 with the new 3 axis Flybarless system for less than 400..

http://flying-hobby.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=3_5_169&products_id=4014

Now again do not get me wrong.. I want a T250 very badly and will be getting one.. but if Gaui is indeed going to price war them and can get thier V2 model with all the stuff Align is offering at the same price points.. then yes I will get the V2 over the T250.. otherwise I will get the T250 first.

Not poopooing the 250 at all hell its going to have MUCH better local parts support just on brand alone.
Not to mention at the speed Align makes improvments.

Gaui has a headstart and right now they have a slight advantage with the flybarless setups being on the street.. lets see what they do with this war.. and if they come down in price to match the attractive little 250.

(not to mention the Outrage 200 waiting in the wings) Its an exciting time to be into small helis.
alot of stuff is fixen to happen to this industry.

Over a year headstart? And here I was thinking Align had been producing top helicopters for years? Pretty sure they focus more on copying the success from the 450, 500, 600 and 700 than the Gaui design, but hopefully they have learned a few things from the Gaui 200 as well. Pretty much every helicopter they have released have been a huge hit taking the marked in it's bracked in a few months. All im saying is, lets wait until we have hands on experience before we start judging them.

Fare as size goes, it's 430m blades vs. 460mm blades stock. Not much bigger, but some.

The flybarless Gaui system tho looks killer, but user feedback has been lacking? Only seen a couple of post about it sadly, but those have been very positiv and I cant wait to hear more about it.

And Gaui hasnt? what i was referring to was a 1 year head start with this size and its potential.
Align didn't even care about this size until the G200 was so successful.

Align only has the market lead it does because of availability and local recognition.
Other products are far better but receive less press and support.

CY Rave, Beam E4, Furion.. are all superior across the board in the 450 market technology wise and design wise and yet Trex still retains its title as the helis are easier to get and the parts more locally available.

And dont even get me started on the bigger classes specially large nitro. there are far better helis out there albight at a higher cost than any Align product..
that is pretty much the only reason people fly trex over the superior other products.

My point here is not to dis Align but to make you see that just because its an Align doesnt mean its going to be 'the poop".. right now Gaui has a proven product with pros that beleive in it. and Align doesnt.. and so far even their own pros havent been able to give the WOW effect that Nick Maxwell had doing hard 3d with the G200 inside a 2 car garage.
or any of the Bert Kramerer videos with it.
Jason's vids with the T250 were very basic as were Alan's. nowhere close to the wringing that the G200 was doing in 1/4 the space.

The Videos presented so far make the 250 look heavy and underpowered yet solid.
This is not a bad thing for intermediate flyers at all.. but for people that want to 3d like the G200 its a hmmm lets wait and see type thing..

That being said it doesnt even matter to me as I'm years away from doing even a simple "chaos" but it will factor in with the peeps that it does matter..

Why the two different size blades and tail blades?

kyle stacey had the 200 flying great a year ago, with a stock 2S set up. i hope the align can fly as good. that would be sweet!

Other products are fare better but receive less press? Comeon, there's atleast 4-5 heli magazines, some who come out as often as montly. They have to work overtime to get enough info to fill a whole magazine. Every magazine review all the same models, think I have read 4 reviews of the Cyper, The Vibe50, Trex700, etc etc etc. Align are where they are today because they delivere incredible value for the money. CY Raven, Beam etc are way to late to take the marked like Align did with the 450. 99% of us already own one of those sizes, and I fly my 450 very seldom so im not gonna bother with a Raven or a Beam when I already got a Trex450 who hardly ever see dayligth. Should I buy a new one today tho, I think Outrage would have been my pick. Sadly the design was to late for me personaly. Im following the 550 design closly tho, thats a perfect size in my view and I would love one if they turn out as good as I think they will.

I would trade my Trex600E for a Mikado easy, and I would love a Vibe50 over a Trex600 Nitro. I certanly dont think Algin is the holy grail or best product out there. Im just sligtly tired of the Gaui Mafia bashing a products that noone hardly seen, and noone here has ever flown. Hey, if Gaui dropes the prices and deliver better performance, im deffo going Gaui. But until both products are out and im seeing reviews from your average HeliFreak user, im not gonna pick eather one as a winner just yet.

and for the record, the gaui's get bashed more than any brand out there.

V2 Gaui 200 gonna eat the Trex250... the amount of tech in the V2 puts the little rex back in the stoneage..
not to mention the V2 FBL..

Yeah, no bashing here, nope none at all. Bias for Gaui? Hell nooo.

Go Gaui Mafia!
