hello i just bought a new electric heli online and not quite sure what to expect from it.
I've been flying with real flight G2 for the last few years now and finally decided to try out a heli.
just for a small background I've been flying planes since i was 6 so I'm not really new to RC just to heli's.

now from what i have read on the forums that walkera dragonfly was a bad heli to start with. if this is true why?
also im not sure what type of dragonfly i got all its called is Walkera Dragonfly # 4 v2.

and just want to know after reading most of the stuff about dragonfly's is will i ever get off the ground.

Here's what I found, is it close to what you were looking at? http://www.ehirobo.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=26_50&products_id=443

You won't have any trouble getting off the ground...nobody ever does. The trick is getting back ON the ground intact.

You may (or may not) have wished to get a bird with CCPM; your total lift is going to be dependent on motor speed. On the upside of that, I think the Dragonfly will give you some good experience in tail rotor control. And that's never a bad thing.

yes that is the one thank you very much
ive done some research over the past week and found some good information on it
the best information i found was from this website
http://www.dkgoodman.com/dragonfly.html#introduction
so i think i can get it off the ground and get it setup good
also been praticing with realflight G3 for the past 2 weeks so hopfully that will help too

well i got my heli in the mail today and after looking it over and making sure the blades are strgiht and the screws arent tight and its balanced enough igave it a small test fly.
i put the training gears on just in case.
well i turned it on and gave it a little throttle just enough to get 1inch of the ground and the thing started spining like a top at full speed
after about an 2 hours of trying to fix all the trims and all i gave it one last try and this thing was just incredibly unstable it never got higher than 2 inches.
after taking off the canopy and seeing in something else was going on i noticed that the gyro was just floping around inside. now im not no expert but im guessing its no suppose to do that. so just wondering is it suppose to scured to the heli or leave it floping around

Secure it with some double sided tape to the frame of the heli.
It will not work just flopping around.

ok i will secure it with some silicon glue it should hold it pretty tight
but what i still cant understand why it spins like a top even though im adjusting the trim is it some to do with some other adjustment im missing

The gyro stabilizes the tail on the chopper. If it's laying and able to move, it cannot do it's job.

just to update the heli flys great better than i would have ever thought
got all the balancing sissues fixed and made sure the blades are stright and the tracking is good. i got it to hover in my living room for 35secs! (yes we timed it). im just so pyched! well until i crashed it 4 times. but it still flys after smashing into a brick wall, this little sucker is tough!. thx for the tips guys.

Tough is the thing about FPs. Makes them amazingly fun to fly. Enjoy it!

I'd put a fuse of 5A on the main motor and 2A on the tail to protect the 4N1 for a longer life.
