Where are people getting their Jet A1 from?

How much are they paying?

I get mine delivered 10,000 ltrs at a time  In the UK It`s about 60p a litre from an airfield, they may not sell you any though, it`s only for aviation use. Tell them a friend has visited your back garden in a helicopter and he`s low on fuel, they will have to supply you then. You will need a call sign aswell, eg, G-BIOA and a couple of jerry cans with the call sign on them.
Jet A1 is the best to use, but kerosene is very similar but not so clean, has more carbon content and burns hotter, that`s why full size don`t use it much, it halves the engine life.
I mix 5% hydraulic oil with it for lubrication, works perfectly. :)

Well here we use Kerosene, I think over there you call it parafin. Jet A is a grade of kero that has a higher sulfer content. Kero for those in house heaters, sold at discount lumber/hardware stores in 1 gallon containers. Myself I got a 55 gal drum and filled it up with kero when prices were really good, put in some anti algae stuff and my cost is only $2 a gallon. Smells just like Jet A

JetA1 has a lower sulfer content than kerosene and parafin, which is why fullsize use it.
However these model turbines work perfectly on either :D
