It has come to my attention that there may be rumours going around about Wren, and if that is so, I need to set things straight.

Last night, a JetCat owner posted this on another helicopter site:
"Put a Jetcat in it, by the sounds of it you won't be able to buy parts for the Wren soon anyway. If you are happy to wait a couple of years you might be able to get it going again. "

I was very concerned and have posted a reply, as follows:

"Please explain to all of us what you mean by this. It is the first I have heard of there being any problems with Wren parts - and I think I would know about it, since one of my responsibilities is ordering and paying for parts here at Wren.

I would like to reassure everybody that Wren have every intention of being here for a long time. The company is in a strong position, we can sell every engine we produce and have lots of happy customers. All helicopter engine parts are in stock.

I am puzzled as to why Mick (Sparkhead) would post something like this because it appears to be a deliberate attempt to discredit us. I can only think that our competitors are starting rumours in an effort to stop people buying our engines. That sounds like an act of desperation ... please draw your own conclusions. "

I see you mean this post. http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t240771p1/

Sounds like another typical ass that makes a statement with a sarcasm smiley after the post but when confronted he say's it's a joke.
Mr. Blokes post is much better for the Wren than the idiot that posted after. 400 Start cycles and too cheap to replace the plug. Something wrong with that Brit. :D Sounds like a damn fine engine to me.

Worst thing is he's in Australia!! At least I can hope he's a temporary import!!
The thing is these posts like his are pretty transparent but I know it's a pain trudging through rubbish to get to the useful stuff.

He is just trying to stir the pot. Ignoring him is the best thing now that a statement from Wren is out. If you perpetuate the guys like him by acknowledging, more guys like him pop up. Make it hard for him or anyone to post rubbish by credibility checking him and keeping things real. That is how we try our best to do it here.

We may not have the highest post count, but we DO have some VERY good info about Helis here at the FREAK.

I would think that by being consistent with repairs and new products, all those rumors go away on their own. Rumors are just that, if they have no credence, thay don't stay around.

Most of us that have flown the three well known jet helicopters know what is good and what isn't ... It is still Bad Form to put another down for thier own failings. I for one enjoy all the new toys coming out and look forward to more flying!! Compitition brings the prices down .... this is good for everyone!

Don't worry Sara you probably don't need as many parts as it would seem that the Wren system lasts longer and dosen't break down that often!! Mine is still going strong and I am extremely happy with its performance. Chris,Greg and I push ours pretty hard wich I feel clearly demonstrates the quality of the Wren system.

Ok, sports fans, as Gary O. pointed out, rumors die based on "lack of evidence." I will only point one thing out that I still consider interesting. During the 8 events I attended last year, including IRCHA, the only turbines I saw in the air were either Wren's or Jakadofsky's (rather play on the positive than the negative of what I didn't see, which, by now should be painfully obvious).

Now, granted, my attendance at events was limited, compared to others such as Greg, however I have reached the conclusion that Brand X talks the talk, but, for some reason can't "walk the walk." Let's see if this season is different and, if Vegas was an example, we'll see the same thing this year.

After reading your post I had to look back at the past events I have been to. All I have seen are the Wrens and Jakas. I am at events every weekend 6 this year already. I was hoping at Vegas we would be able to talk shop and fly alongside of the Jetcats as well as others. We had a ball with the Wrens and Tim was there with the Jaka. I as well as you have owned other turbines and settled on the Wren, I would just like to see the others bring them out and lets go head to head.
Hopefuly we can get everyone flying at the turbine event. That is upcoming. time to walk the walk.

Gary,
Your idea for a "turbine only" or "turbine emphasis" event is a stroke of brilliance. It's time for everyone to bring out their "hardware" and let's see it perform...Wren's, Jaka's and Jetcat's and all the others.

Doc I have got a very positive response so far as to a turbine event. I think it will be great to get a turbine event going. We will have the chance to all meet and swap ideas and such. At the events I go to there are a few turbine guys spead out across the line. With a turbine event I think it could become one of the hottest events out there!!

Dr. Tim,
If I had 8 kids, I would be looking for a gun....J/K  ...with a heart as big as your's, I have a hard time believing you would ever want to go on the road.

BTW, did you hear about the blonde looking for work?

She knocked on this gentleman's door and inquired as to whether he had any work she could do for some food money.

The gent told her he needed to have his porch painted and she agreed and off she went to get started.

Knowing her husband and her stereo-type image of blondes, his wife asked if the young lady knew that she was going to be painting a wrap-around porch, to which the gent replied....oh well.

A couple of hours passed and the gent heard a knock on the door. It was the blonde and she announced she had finished, so the gent paid her the agreed fee. On her way down the steps, stopped, turned around, smiled and said, "by the way mister, it wasn't a porch....it was a Lexus." :D :D :D
