I will try to help you best I can.
What do you have the gain set to on the gyro? You adjust this thru Channel 5 on the radio. Also what servo are you using on the tail rotor? Do you have the gyro in Normal mode or Heading Hold mode?
Also if we can't get your problem corrected here on the forum.
There is a heli event here in Birmingham 17th-19th of March. You can come up to the event and someone can help you get your heli flying great.
I am located on the south side of Bham in the Hwy 280 area. Where you located in Montgomery ?

The gain set is all the way down on the gyro. I'm not sure how to adjust this using the radio. The servo is an NES-537. Its in tail lock mode. I live off of I85 Ann Street area.

Sent you a PM with information to call me on the phone.
David
EDIT:
OK talked to Antonio on the phone. He has not tried to fly it since we talked. But I believe we have everything in order. The gain on the gyro was turned to the lowest setting. So it was not holding the tail very well at all. From talking on the phone he seems to have everything in order now.
He is learning to fly the tail, when he moves the rudder stick to the right, the tail goes right and nose goes left. Vice versa for the other direction. I know a few pilots that fly in this manner. So it should not be a problem.

"...when he moves the rudder stick to the right, the tail goes right and nose goes left. Vice versa for the other direction."
Just my .02, but is this a good thing for a new pilot to learn?
It well limit him to flying only his stuff, and will prevent others from flying his stuff. This is the time to get him converted to what "everyone else does", as it WILL make life easier in the long run.

Good point. Would he want to be able to fly only a few heli's or just about anyone's? Of course, some really good pilots can make the adjustment for "flying rudder" vs "flying nose" but not without some learning curve or massive attention. I'd have to agree with playfair, standardize now while just getting feet wet.

It is not hard for someone else to fly his heli. They just reverse the rudder control.
There is a good number of pilots out there that fly the tail of the heli. One of the them is Len Sabato and he has been on two USA World Championship teams.
You start checking around at events and you will be surprised the set up some pilots use to fly. I know pilots that pull the stick down for throttle/collective, they push the cyclic right and the heli goes left, etc. etc.
Even Henry Caldwell flies planes with the controls what some consider weird. When I have flown his planes he reverses the controls back before he gives me the transmitter.
There is pilots that fly Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode 3, Mode 4, 2+1, Single Stick, etc. etc.
Ever how a pilot learns is what he is comfortable with.
David
One of the KC bunch flies with the collective reversed, when I inquired why, he said "On a full scale heli, you pull the collective to go up, so I do on mine too."
I guess it is all about how you learn.
