Mooresville Event 2006 - Sept 2 and 3

The RC Wingers Club of Mooresville NC, will be hosting our second annual helicopter fun fly on September 2nd and 3rd. (Labor Day weekend) This is an AMA sanctioned event, with a $5 landing fee per day.

No events or contests are planned at this time, but check out our website for directions and updates. http://www.rcwingers.com

Facilities are available on site. Primitive camping, as well as plenty of room for RV's and campers. Concessions will be available on site.

Come join us for a great time flying helis! Last year was a lot of fun meeting some of the 'Freaks' and hanging out. We had a great time with about 30 registered pilots, and hope to have at least double that many this year!

If you have any questions email me directly at culprc@aol.com We are working on reserving a block of rooms at one of the local motels at a slightly better rate. Email me if you are interested so that we can better plan for the number of rooms needing to be reserved.

We had a little funfly this weekend, (not a heli funfly) but if you brought anything with wings or blades it was certainly welcomed... Especially if you were properly attired. :wink: ... ( Can't wait for the heli flyin. ) More pictures and upcoming events are here (http://www.rcwingers.com).

Just a little over a month away! We had a pretty good turn out our first year with around 30 registered pilots. This year should be much larger. Who's planning on coming this year?

Sounds great...bring the condor!! I would love to see one fly. A friend here has one that he has been working on for several years....(yes you Randy) maybe seeing one fly will inspire him to finally finish it up!!!

If you can make it, bring a camera too. I can't fly worth a darn, but I have been known to crash a few....just to keep things exciting of course. Suuuuure, I meant to do that!!

Looks like the price is 65.00 for a king 75.00 for a double queen and 85.00 for king suite

Yes, unfortunately Mooresville is really lacking for an inexpensive but nice motel. There are several others around but the prices start higher. The nicer motels are willing to block out a group of rooms if we have 20 or more reserved, but then the prices are still not much better than the super 8.

Will there be any flyin on Friday the 1st? Would like to pop in a day early, more flight time!!!

Definitely!!! We will be flying on Friday afternoon. since it's a three day weekend for most people, we will be flying the following Monday as well. Come on down and make a long weekend of heli flying! Friday we will be setting up tents, and mowing, but that will likely be done in the morning and shouldn't prevent anyone from flying in the afternoon.
