I'm starting to regret not ordering an Ion from Hawaii. I just didn't want to cancel on the guys at HP. Anyword when the next batch will ship? (Hint to Chris!!)

Thanks.

Not sure about the kits.. .but batteries won't be available until the end of the month at the absolute earliest.... TP is adding charge safe circuitry to all their packs and it may take a while for them to get it rolling..

You think maybe the thought of one of those packs burning someone's house down finally got through to them??? Like it or not, TP is under huge risk if something happens with these things.... When you charge your camcorder...you're not worried about it catching fire.... a jury would see it the same with these batteries... They need to be safer....

Glad to see TP addressed this.

We expect more motors/controllers and canopies this week, kit shipments will resume then. Batteries are as Mike said, 2 weeks out. TP is being extremely proactive in this endeavor. We do still have some of the 3P packs for those that are interested.

Interesting about the batteries. I already got the batteries, but clearly without the safe charge circuitry. Any chance of a replacement program?

Thanks.

I THINK Jason at TP told me they would be offering a upfit program- but I'm not sure.

I spoke with Jason at TP yesterday. They will be starting to retrofit packs about June 1. Cost will be $25 per pack.

Wayne,

Do I just call the main TP number? Since I bought MA batteries through heliproz do I need to go through either of them?

Hi Rob

The charge controller chip is a TP thing and being handled solely by them . Call them on or after May 31'st to get an RA number. Then send them in...pretty please.

That is awesome to see TP stand behind their customers like this!! Hats off to Jason and TP!! 25.00 is definitely very reasonable to add the circuit. Sweet!!
