We will be having this event again after a 2 year lapse. May 5,6 & 7 are the dates. A lot of folks were always asking about it and well, here we go again. Vic Campbell and his V-Blade crew are coming down and well as Scott Glasgow from OK. Vic is the primary sponsor for this event and will probably have some goodies on hand. This looks to be a great time as always. We will be at a different field. It is the FARM Club located off I-530 exit 145th street back towards the correctional facility.
If you have any questions or want more information, pop me an e-mail and I'll help.
I realize this conflicts with MayDay but time slots around here pretty much dictated we use this date.

Thanks, Marshall Burroughs

Sure looking that way.. Should be great weather. Friday you may get a drop or two but that will just keep it from getting too hot! :D

Well, there are a few options: One is a place called Grandpa's Catfish, there is Cock Of The Walk(Catfish, chicken, shrimp), etc.. We'll ask around Saturday and find out what everyone is interested in.. There are many places to eat..

I checked noaa.gov and they said showers after 5pm and then sunday before 7am. This is a big improvement from what it was.
I'll be there rain or shine but I only live an hour away.

He swoops down, takes half the landing gear off and canopy and still keeps on flying.. I was really impressed I tell ya! Tomorrows forecast looks great as OzarkCopterBum says... Come on down!

Well Saturday the rain held off till late in the afternoon and pretty much everybody got a few flights in. Looked pretty bleak around 5:00 saturday though.
Funniest thing I heard was about Keith Wilson flying his blade cx in the atrium at the Holiday Inn. Seems the Kennett Krew were having a blast landing on the pool tables and entertaining the other guests riding in the glass elevator when Keith decides to see how close he can "auto" over the hot tub. First 3 went well and even got a little splash but the 4th attempt proved a bit much for the blade and in the tub she went. They said it tried to recover, even completely under water. Well they sent Perry downstairs after it who happened to bump into the security guard as he was fishing it out of the spa. The rest of them had retreated to their rooms because they figured the lipo would burst into flames. Anyway no flames and they didnt get kicked out, though Perry said the security guard was not amused nor impressed.
Sunday turned into a super day, light breeze, plenty of sunshine and lots of kick azz heli flying.
Big thanks to the Farm Club and Marshal Burroughs for sharing their field with us and the sponsers for donating the pilots prizes. Looking forward to this fun fly again next year! We ought to have an indoor midnight funfly at the Holiday Inn Atrium.

Marshall, Good job on the event. It was good to see everyone that braved the weather. Got some good flying on friday, most of Sat., and all of Sunday. I put some pics of the birthday cake that we had for Zach in the gallery. A stratus with V's what more could he ask for.
Anyway, good event, had a good time, look forward to it next year, and seeing everyone in springfiled in a couple weeks again.

I want to thank Vic and Sherry plus the crew for coming down to support the event. Those V-Blade certificates don't last long when we do the pilot drawing. Also, thanks to Ron Lund @ Ricks RC for the gift certificate which is a very popular item as well. I appreciate Kurt with Model Avionics for the Rev Max and TJ Pro he donated. Very nice items. These were all great items for the pilot drawings. Other sponsors who donated were Hobbytown USA(Roger Ellenburg) and Marks Hobby Shop(Mark Humphries). Again, thanks for making this FF a success and a fun time.
I really appreciate the support these folks give back to the hobby.
Thanks to Scott Glasgow, Scott Cathey, Michael Leipzig, and the rest of the guys for some great flying this weekend. It's always a hoot to watch these guys fly!
