Barry,

Presuming the fuel was fresh and 70K was well into the Kero spool up I would suspect an electronic shut off - did you see anything suspicious on the GSU? Are the ECU batts up to charge?

and check your fuel filter for blockages, you should only have 1 filter. :)

By now, I am quite sure, you have found the cause, fixed it and, are again flying. Having read the response, they are all sound checks and very well could have either caused or contributed to the problem.

The fact that you got a good light-off and got her spooled up to 70K, then everything just shut down is indicitive of either air in your fuel lines due to the long down time or a blockage.

Also, Ron had several good suggestions. He mentions checking your FADEC batteries. If they have been sitting as long as the heli, they may be shot and, along those same lines, I would also check your receiver batteries. Don't know how cold it was when you attempted to start, however, if it was, say below 30° and the battery (s) were weak at the start, the combination of events and conditions could well be your problem.

Ron also mentioned checking your FADEC read-out. Your read-out should indicate a reason for the shut-down. One other thing just ran through my mind (not much resistance), is that in cold weather the start gas starts to do strange things. Most folks operating in a cold enviorment, try to keep their gas fairly warm by keeping it in a pocket so body warmth can keep the gas warm.

Please let us know what did finally resolve the problem.
