Tail Boom Installation

Hey guys, I'm new to the RC heli world. I did a stupid thing and let my brother fly my Venom Night Ranger 3D, and he crashed. The tail boom got bent and I need to replace it. I have the tail boom, it's just that I want to make sure I don't miss anything while installing it. This is what the hobby shop guy said:

-Unsolder the wires from the tail motor, but make sure you mark what wire goes where.
-Then unscrew all the screws associated with the tail boom
-Slide the tail boom off, and slide the new one on
-Screw in the screws
-Solder the wires back on to the motor


If I'm missing anything or you have any hints or suggestions, please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreaciated. :)

How did the tail boom go back together?

Could you post some picture of it? Did you replace any gear at the back? Have you replace the fine, tail rotor blade ? Look if your tail rotor blade is not cracked!!! You could put some C.A. glue on the boom where is inserted on the mast of the heli... But, I don't know this chopper!!! If you could post some pics of the boom of this heli, it will be easier to help you!!!
