I'm sure Ash over at Outrage-tuning will do a build series.

Correct HFG, I'm doing the build video and hopefully it might be ready only a day or so after release, I could have done it on the prototype but the agreement was that we would wait for the production kit as there were bound to be some changes from prototype to production.

Thank you ,,,,sounds great!

No offense meant, but I would like to see Finless do the build as he has the whole build video thing down pretty solid!
Outrage, send Bob a kit!

I havent seen a Trextuning build vid yet , but his build reports , complete with very good photographs are quite super. I used his HDX500Se build report when I build mine .
Have done lots of repairs on my 450 prior, but that was bought 2nd hand - the 500 was my first heli build from scratch and Trextuning report certainly was put to good use

No offence taken, each to their own, take a look at mine when it's done and I'm sure you will find it more than good enough for your needs. Bob does good videos and mine are done in exactly the same style and impart exactly the same information. I've built the prototype 550 so I'm already aware of the easy and not so easy areas of the build.

Bob does ALOT of videos and thus must do them quickly. Ash will be able to take more time to do the vids allowing for a more indepth build review. Plus with him working along side Ade we get to see some MHz friendly radio setups :)

Bob does a lot of videos AND he supports the helis after the builds, check some of his threads.

I didn't mean to take anything away from Bob, but the fact remains he does a crazy amount of heli builds and his time is finite.

Hey Capi,
Just do what SteveL and I do, Charley gives us a picture or two of what the prototype is supposed to look like, and a box of parts, We must have done somthing right cause Steven has over 100 flights on his :cheers

I've been playing with lego long enough i don't need a manual for anything, but a good build video helps sell kits. Plus we get to show off our sexy helis :)

I'm not so sure bout that, I've built about 40 helis in the past 5 years, not to mention the GMP Cricket and Cobra I built in the early eighties, haven't watched a video yet, Charley has done a fantastic job with both the G5 and 550 manual, heck I built both of his machines with a picture and no manual, well I have been designing security systems and reading prints for the last 30 years thou

That's a hoot, reminds me when I was 5 yrs old and my toast got stuck in the toaster, I proceeded to extract it with the butter knive and got knocked across the room, my mom said when she came around the corner I was sitting there pointing saying hot, hot.

Hello,
I was just wondering why the videos from Outrage Tuning aren't downloadable?
I like to have them on my PC so I can watch when I don't have an Internet connection and also while I am building.
Just curious.
Thanks, George

they are all downloadable, you just have to know how to do it.
Which ones were you after in particular?

I am eagerly awaiting the Outrage 550 videos but I was trying to download the G5 first.
I tried to do it like the ones I download from HeliFreak....right click and choose "Save link as"....this only gives me the .htm file to save...is this how it is done?
With HeliFreak they are in the .wmv format....I will try the .htm in the mean time
By the way....I think your build reports and videos are excelent.
Thanks, George

if you check the build video sticky in the G5 forum here on HeliFreak I put all the direct links to the files in it. So you can just click and save as.
