Finished my Beam E4 this weekend and maidened her. The build went smoothly and initial spinup was vibration free.I'm a noob pilot but was able to hold a pretty stable hover in the backyard. Then the wife came out to watch...
An intermittent tail twitch, probably due to the cheap GWS receiver, caused the tail to move on me and since it was above me and to my left I lost orientation and down she went.
Broken or bent...
Feathering shaft
Flybar
Blades
Tail fin
Main shaft
I was planning on replacing the receiver but not sure which way to go...Futaba or Berg. I have a 7CHP 72Mhz Radio...any suggestions.
Ordered parts from Readyheli...they had everything in stock. It'll be my first order from them so I'm looking forward to the mint!

I would go with the berg. I had one before I went to 2.4 and it worked flawlessly. My other receivers were Futaba and on E-helis I would have glitches. With the berg I never had a glitch.

Did you go to Hobby Town Usa? Sounds like something the one here would set you up with.

No I had the GWS from my POS HDX300 and wanted to recycle it. Should have really recycled it huh?
I think I'll just go Futaba 2.4 7C and sell my 72Mhz Tx.
Thanks guys.

If you decide to stick with 72MHz, I've got a Berg 7 sittin' here collecting dust... Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours.

I have at least 2.
But for a heli and 72 MHz, I would go PCM, which means Futaba Rx.

Get yourself a lipo (http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?products_id=7867) for the transmitter - lasts all day long.
