hey guys,
i'm getting a raptor 50 from a friend friday. we just need to set my radio up. i have a 9303 and he had a 8103. the heli has a govener on it. he said i need to set my radio up so that aux3 will work the govener. so i can set up 3 govener modes. a normal, idle 1 and idle 2. i know on my trex my flap switch is the switch with all this. he said the govener has an extra plug that goes into aux3 on the receiver. what do i need to do to make it work??? will the way it's now work it right??? or do i need some how to reassign the idle up to another switch that runs thru the aux3??? and how to i do that??? please help guys!!!
thanks so much!!!

To use governor programming on the 9303, you need to enable it in the [DeviceSel] menu. It needs to be set as an output from one of the "Devices"
I believe I used the Gear channel... However it's not tied to the gear switch, it's tied to the Flight Mode switch. (The gear switch can still be used for some other purpose, like enabling a program mix.)
If your governor is a TJPro, then this thread is likely to be helpful:

well the guy who is helling me said we need to plug the extra plug into aux3 channel so i can set 3 govener settings. the govener is a gv-1. i think i have figured it out, tell me what u think. in devise set-up i went to aux3 and then selected the fmod sw. so that means now i will beable to set diffrent rpm settings with the govener and use the flight mode switch to go to them, right???

basically he sid we will set a normal mode that at 25% will cut the motor to idle just like my t-rex where it will kill the motor, and then we will setup a idle 1 and 2 for more advance flying and 3-d flying. i just want to make sure i have it set up right or what to do so we don;t spnd hours tring to setup the govener. like i said before he has this heli set-up on a 8103 and he also flys on a 10x but i have a 9303. another questions, can we transfer the program from the 8103 to my 9303???
thanks\

Mike, I'll have to look at my 9303 to see how I did my GV-1. As far as transferring the program over from an 8103 I don't think that will work. I know you can't from a 10X to a 9303. I'll look at mine later today and post back.

Two items to look at, first is to have the GV-1 inhibited in normal mode, so you can check your needle settings, second is the BIG one..
Make for absolutely certain that the radio turns OFF the GV-1 in failsafe, and that the throttle goes to idle!
This will make the inevitable a little less expensive...

This is exactly what I'm needing to do in my 9303 as I just finished installing a new Aerospire Multigov. So basically I'm bumping this so I can find it when I get home!!

this will work with gv-1 for you
 :glasses: :D
The JR 9303 is the US version of the JR PCM 9X. There are now 2 versions of these Tx's: PCM9X and PCM9X2. I have a PCM 9X and the simplest governor speed control method is achived using the desiganted 'Gyro Sense' function. The only question I can answer is whether the PCM 9X2 / latest 9303 has an additional governor function?
When using the PCM 9X: 50% value will be governor off, whilst above and below 50% will activate / adjust the speed (remember I asked you to re-calibrate the speed range to allow for finer adjustemnt within this function) ;-)
Within the Governor function, there are options to adjust the values for 'Pos 0', 'Pos 1' & 'Pos 2'. Any of these 'Pos' / values can then be assigned to flight modes Norm, ST-1 & ST-2 as desired. In this csae, the customer would adjust 'Pos 1' to 50% and assign to the 'Norm flight Mode'. The desired values would then be entererd into 'ST-1' &'ST-2' using Revlock lights display to set engine rpm as desired. Please also advise the customer to be sure to set his Failsafe (if using PCM) using 'Throttle hold' activated to ensure Governor is disabled if Failsafe is activated. This easly tested by turning off the TX and making sure the Revlock set-light goes out!

I do not know how to program a governor, because I don;t use them..
But i have both an 8103 and a 9303. One is my main radio the other is a back-up.
They will not "hook-up" and transfer data from one to the other, but you can transfer the data manually using the exact numbers dispayed on the one that is already programmed.
And you are welcome to use my recording sheet:
