JR 8103H DT Problems!!!!!

HI All,

I was wondering if anybody has ever had an JR 8103H DT
just stop workin. Yesterday I went flyin, she worked great. just fine. and today when i went to turn her on nothing no power, the battery is fine in the Tx, i pulled it out and tested it in another JR TX (6102), the battery worked just fine. I put the battery back in my radio and attempted to turn it back on and nothin. Who and where should I send the radio to get it checked out? Thanks Karl Nelson

I would place my money on a blown fuse. That happened to me last year on my 8103DT, I replaced the fuse and it worked fine. A couple weeks later a guy came from CT to fly with us, he blew a fuse as well, replaced it and it worked fine. I know why I blew the fuse, but we don't know why the other guys fuse vaporized.

My 8103DT blew the fuse yesterday ,I thought it was because i tried to autocharge with my supernova
anyway it was the fuse
do not bother with checking at auto parts store because any JIS fuses they have are wrong anyway
I found the right fuse at RadioShack (4 for $1.69 :D )
They are 3 amp fast acting metric size 5 x 20 P/N 270-1054 GMA type
on the 8103, remove the RF module from back of TX and the fuse is near the battery compartment
pry the fuse out with a non metal object(cutical stick works great- my GFs OK?)
dont let the old fuse fall into the TX :shock:
getting the new fuse in is the hard part
I used shoo goo to hold the fuse to a small open end wrench
