Just wondering, I have a 9303 I converted to 2.4 with the XPS Module and RX. I am in need of a couple more RX's for two new Heli's and before I spend the cash on XPS RX's just wondering if it would be in my best interest to change over to the Spectrum 2.4 Module and RX's ..

Any comments or suggestions ??

Thanks

Craig

I am not convinced with XPS. I was ready waiting money in hand for it to first come out, but after reports started coming back, IMO, Spektrum is better.

And Rxes are cheaper.

Convinced with what, I have been flying mine for a year with no problems, if the latency isnt as good I dont notice it as I'm not a 3D guy. RX prices seem to be about the same now that I have searched around a bit. Plus I dont have any secondary antennas and wiring all over the place. I know it sounds like I am pro XPS but I need something solid that would convince me to change.

I love the 9303 even more than the 14MZ I had.

If you are happy with it, then why even ask?

Lots of threads in various boards about XPS problems. The fact that nobody can make the thing hop channels, and XPS has never posted proof that it does.

The fact that LOTS of things stated by Jim Drew about the system have been proven wrong.

Just no warm fuzzies for me.

But if you are happy with it, they buy more Rxes and enjoy. Me, i first went with a Spektrum module in my XP9303 and then moved to an X9303.

I did a little searching and ya there seemed to be quite the controversy over the XPS system.. Like ya said I'm happy with mine so I am going to take the cheaper way out and just get a couple of XPS RX's for my other two heli's .. So long as they arent banned from the big fun flys I dont see any need to change..

Thanks Craig

I have both systems, and am happy with both. I was unconvinced that the one receiver one antenna system would be good enough for an all metal and carbon fiber 90 size heli so I put the XPS system in my Raptors and the Spektrum in my Stratuses. I've had no problems with either system. The newest XPS firmware does frequency hop according to Jim Drew for what that's worth.

Having said all this, I still recommend the Spektrum for one simple reason. If you buy a lot of XPS receivers and one day you want to buy a new transmitter there is no XPS transmitter so you will either have to buy a transmitter with a removable module or buy a lot of new receivers.

As much as I love the 9303 I will probably be staying with it, Ineed to send my old RX back in for the 3.0 upgrade and just ordered two more RX's so all three of my Heli's are set..
