I'm looking to graduate from my B400 and get this heli.

Probably get

a Phoenix 45

Already have 3 HS-65HBs to put on the cyclic.

a GY401

Need help deciding on a NICE tail servo that will accompany the 401.

Sticking to my DX61 and Ar6100e for now.

Likely use my eflite lipos, might get a few of the Protek 30C ones in a bit.

Actually, I'm going to use the E-flite motor, believe it or not, it's the best on the market right now. If you don't believe me do a search.

Please give me some feedback for the tail servo and if you see anything that looks like it isn't going to work in my setup please say so before I buy it.

I have 1 that im working the bugs out of atm to. I started with the HG5000 gyro from Hitec but had fits trin to get the tail to hold so I switched out to my trusty 401 with a futaba 9257 on the tail but the futaba 9650 would be equaly as good for you. I would STRONGLY sugest that you do 2 things.......
1. watch finless's videos on the Beam E4 build (will help save ya a LOT of time if new to these)
2. Change the gears in your 65hg's to metal gears or buy the servos with metal gears....after the 1st reasonbly bad crash youll see exactly why the metal 1s are better :)

other than that Id love feedback on any illuses you come across in your build and setup. Good luck :)

I agree for sure, watch the video. we are flying our Beam with a spartan gyro and 9257 servo on tail.
Only other issue I would watch for is to be sure to securely mount the little tab on the tail where the bellcrank attaches, make sure it seats dead flat and then apply a drop of ca on it for extra measure of security. This is a solid little heli that needs no upgrades!
