Default No 3 beeps on battery protection!

Has anyone had trouble setting low cutoff battery protection on the Align RCE-BL35X ESC?

I just cannot get it beep three times on start up. I can set all other settings to 3 beeps but the 3rd option, battery protection, will only let me set it to either 1 or 2 beeps.

The manual contradicts itself stating in "Feature options #3" Low cutoff is the default, but in the table over the page shows middle cutoff as the default!

IS there any way to default these ESC's ?

Try lowering your throttle trim all the way, or give it a few clicks on the low side of your throttle end point. That should do it.

I can set other settings on 3 beeps though! and the setting for this is high throttle, not low. Do you mean trying a few clicks of trim on high throttle then? I have tried to pushing the 2 ATVs to 150% but that did no good.

So I am going to try all that now.

Thanks

Just tried all of that and some more, when on battery protection setting I adjusted high throttle atv to 150%. Still only 2 beeps on this setting when I powered up. Begining to think it may be a faulty ESC.

On my Esc it would only do medium or high protection. I'm not sure if they have taken the low option out, although it still shows it in the instructions. On the medium setting you can still run your batteries below the 20% mark if your not careful. I would leave it on medium as I have and time your flights for the best battery management.

There is one setting that will not beep its settings during the startup. I am not sure which one it is, but think it might be the batterr shutoff setting. Haven't used this ESC in a bit, so not positive. Finless talks about it in the setup video. Actually caught him off guard in the video and he talks about it.

Now that I think about it the other two are correct. It does not have the low battery cut off anymore. It has been a while since I programed mine.

Mine does not allow mine to set battery to high either. Not sure either but honestly I don't want to set it for high. I like the medium cutoff.

Thanks guys, so it looks like it is no longer an option.

Thought I was going mad!!!! :-)

Just wish the instructions were updated to show that. Would have stopped me spending the whole of Sunday morning trying to sort it out. But hey ho, thats flying!!!

Thanks once again

Confirmed.... the latest code for all Align ESCs no longer gives the 3rd battery protect option. This started with the T500 ESC when it came out.

Thanks Bob, but this ESC is 18 months old, is that still the "new" software?

Yes it is still the new software. I thought they first cut that in with the T500 as that was the first time I saw the change but I guess they cut it in earlier than Dec 2007 which is when I got the first T500....
