Guys, finally after adjusting my gyro and neddle settings on my R60 with OS70, I want to correctly adjust my Idle up pitchs for 3D

1)If you check on the R60 manual at page 36 it say to adjust the servo horn to be a little offset (Not exactly on the center)when your blades are at 0º degrees..........Are you guys following this set up or can I center my servo horn in the center? I am a little confuse why to adjust this way instead of center the servo horn at exactly the center.

2)What is your +Hi and -LOW pitch settings for 3D.... What I mean are you using the same value for top HI and LOW

3)On Idle up what porcentage you are using on Throttle at 0º Pitch or were do you recomend me to start? 30% or 40% I dont want to over Rev my engine

4)On your pitch servo horn, at what mm you mount your steel ball? Manual says 13-14mm but is impossible to get 12º with that......Mine is at 16.5mm out...............Whats your advise?

THX,

Isaac

1) Off a little matters little with digital servos (or so I have been told) I get it close as possible.

2) +11/-11. I run all my helis the same at both ends.

3) I use a governor because I am lazy. Sorry.

4) Try another horn?

1.) center the horn, 90* and level mixer arms (between swashplate and head.)
2.)10+ to -10+ whatever the motor will handle without bogging too bad.
3.)40% throttle at mid with curves is a SAFE starting point, carry it over to idle up 1 also, you can adjust up as you feel the machine out.
4.) Assuming you mean to the pitch arm? You could make another hole closer to the pivot on the pitch link, or go with a larger wheel on the servo.

Make sure that at zero pitch, the mixing arms are level, or you will get an offset, or more pitch one way or the other.
Center servos, level mixing arms, adjust links to zero pitch. You should have a linear amount up and down, or within a degree or two..

Hey LameBird,

Thx for your advices. I will say that my big concern was why TT recomend to put the pitch arm a little offset but I will put my arm at 90* and forget about what the manual says

Yes, my mixing arms are level at zero pitch :glasses:

So, I will work on the servo arm to get +11 -11

Thx,

Isaac
