Can't get warnings to go away. I've tried everything. Is there anyone that knows how to perform a JR Hard Reset so I don't have to send it back and wait? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

Have no idea what you are talking about...
What "warning" are you getting?

Flight mode warning.
It works fine in Acro or Glider without any warnigns. There are no switches assiagned to anything in Heli, but I just can't seem to get it to quit.
I called Radio South to find out what it may be and they said it needs a "Hard Reset".
I don't mind paying, but it's the two weeks away for something that might be easily done by someone that has the tech background/ability enough to do this.

I can't help but think this is something simple...
Forgive me, but at the risk of insulting you-
The flight mode warning is active when you power on the radio and your idle up switch is on either 1 or 2 instead of "normal". Airplane models don't use flight mode, so it ignores the "warning".
"There are no switches assiagned to anything in Heli"
In a heli model it selects the flight mode switch for you...
Is this a heli radio? Try moving the left top 3 pos switch DOWN. An airplane radio has the switch on the front of the radio.

playfair...You won't insult me! It's got to be something ridiculously simple. It just started all of a sudden.
It is a heli version of the radio. I've moved nearly all combinations of switches. I would like to try just switching to a new Heli model to see if that would work. It seems that all of this started when I was setting up a Heli profile for use on a simulator.
keep the idea's coming....
Thanks

Lane,
I am surprised it lets you into the programing of the radio. I know when it happens on Futaba, the other programs can not be accessed.
Sounds like you might have assigned two functions to the same switch. For example, you have throttle hold ON assigned to both sides of the same switch. So flipping the switch either way does not turn it off. So when the radio boots up , it gives a condition warning. I have seen pilots assign throttle hold ON to one side of a switch, and then assign Throttle Cut ON to the other side of the same switch. With Futaba you have to send it in to get that taken care of, if you do not have a service menu enabler.
If you can get into the programming, I just suggest copying another model over the top of that model. That should take care of the problem.
I don't fly JR. But I have also heard of doing the Hard Reset by pushing the buttons in specific sequence. Maybe Tony at Radio South can tell you. He will not be at Radio South after tomorrow, he will be in Toledo at the Weak Signals trade show.

If you reset the model or just change the type on that model then go into the function mode it will reset it.
Also you can check in the airplane model to see if the flaps are activated. there is a screen that shows channel movement. Check and see if channel 8 moves on the channel display screen. You might have a faulty switch and the reason why it works in airplane or glider mode is the switch is not enabled.
Hope this helps

The 8103 doesn't have much in the way of assignable switches, that it's major problem, but I digress. . . .
The "problem" switch is the flight mode switch (or as it's also called the Idle Up switch), this is the one normally located on the top right, on the front face of the Tx, it's a three position switch, and needs to be in the "Normal" position at power on, the normal position is all the way back.
Try this, put ALL switches in the "Off" position, that means either fully up, or fully back, dependant on their orientation to the face of the Tx, now power the Tx on, it should come up clean, if not toggle each switch in turn, until the message clears (you don't have to stitch off to do this !).
There are two switches in Heli mode that give a warning, the Flight Mode (Idle up) and the Throttle Hold switches. Throttle hold is the two position switch, on the top left, at the back.
If you need the switch locations clarified, check out the pictures in the Heli section of the distructions
I said earlier that the Flight Mode is normally top right, on the front face, which is true, but some of us have physically changed it's position, by swopping it with the Gear switch, so that it ends up on the top right, on the top of the Tx. This makes it easier to get to in flight. You be able to tell, because the Flight Mode switch is the ONLY three position switch on that Tx.

Janek- Assuming you use a Mode 1 tranny, I didn't realize those two switches were backwards as well! Our Mode 2 flight mode switch is on the top left, above the trainer switch, and the throttle hold is on the right, under the rudder d/r switch.
