Howdy all.
I was curious what some of you are useing to start the 90 motors. I have a Raptor 90 with a OS 91 Max SZ. I bought a Hobbico 90 high torque starter and have two 8.4v 3800mah 7 cell packs wired in series. It didnt budge it, the packs my have been a lil low on the charge, but I just want to check with you all and see if this is a cool set up or not. So what are all of you useing?

I have a friend that has the Trex 700 and he uses a hobbico hi-torque starter with a 6 cell 2100mah lipo setup and it seems to work fine, also he uses a cordless drill on high speed to start it.

You need a man-sized starter, get a dynatron and a 3 or 4S 3000 or larger pack and enjoy it. I run mine on 5S and dare you to stall it. :)

Agreed on the Dynatron. run it on 4s 6000. Probably 50 starts before a charge...Wouldn't know the actually number because till this day still have never had it drop below 7.9v and im at about 30 flights. And iv never had a problem turning over my OS 91.

Another lesson learned. I should have just bought one in the beginning. Heliproz has em for $92.99, what is a 4s 6000 battery gonna cost? Thanks for the help fellas!

Got a Dynatron and a lipo pack now! Just need to make a harness and try it out! Should know hot she works this weekend. Provided the battery came with enough juice in it. I still need to order a charger. Thanks for all the imput guys.
