Hello,

I have an old X-cell 60 model that I would like to fit in my Bell 222 fuse. This model have a piano rod (with a flat spot on each side) to drive the tail rotor. I don't know wich model is !

Everything fit perfectly in the fuselage except the length of the boom. I have to put a new longer boom and rod to fit together.

There is a longer boom and rod to fit with this model? What can I do?

What is the best solution to fit this model?

Thanks!!!

I'd think there'd be too much windup in a longer wire drive .. Lots easier to make up a carbon tube drive to whatever length you need .... I use a car speedo cable as tail drive in my Westland Wessex ....

Do I have to convert all the front system and the tail system to fit a carbon rod?

That depends on how much stuff you can make up yourself .... it'd be faster to just buy MA bits , but lots more satisfying to make up your own to suit your application....
I imagine your 222 isnt going to be flown hard, so "ultra " tubes etc arent really needed ....
