What would be a powerfull 3D setup?
I'm thinking about:
Kohler Actro 24-5
CC HV 45
10s Flightpower EVO's
Vblades, 149 DP, 611/9256.

Kontronik is the Way to go... thex are bringing a new motor out.. Outrunner that has more power than the actual Tango :P :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
Hope it'll fit the MXR!

The Evo cells will rock in a 50 they fly the Ion very well!!

It doesn't look there will be much space for those larger packs.
At least not for a singe 12s or 10s pack. You'll have to split it and run them in series.

The EVO 20 5s1p packs should ROCK the new 50. They kick ass on the Ion that weighs about 3 pounds more than the 50 for 5-6 minutes of B's hard 3D. They should be incredible on the 50. :shock:

will, you gotta loe those evo pack the more you cycle them seems like the more power they pick up ive got them in my 50 size and get about 11 min of flight time outa them

Yes Matt, you are right. Mine are really kicking it. I am more satisfied with these Duralite EVO 20 5s1p packs than any other packs I have ever had. Just got some 3s and 4s 1800's to try in my TREX, just gotta fix it first.

What kind of gear ratios can I get with the MXR500E?
I like the 24-4 better for 50 sized helis. On 12s1p EVOs and 24,000 this thing would rip like you wouldn't believe.
Can I get near 12 to 1

The gear ratio on the new machine should be variable from about 6:1 to over 20:1. We are using a belt drive in the primary on this one so we should have lots of options.

2 5s packs make 10s.
You should have 10s for a 3D as a minimum. For an extreme setup 10s+ will do.
Is there a pack which will work in the MXR500E as well as the Ion (doubled)? I still need to buy packs for my Ion.
