Hi, can someone please tell me how many teeth are on the Ion "first steel gear 6mm ID" MA12430.
I'm trying to find a Mod 1 13T by 6mm ID pinion and 13T pinions period are scarce.
Thanks,
Al

If the part number is 124-30 it has 15 teeth.

Thanks,
The search goes on.
I need a mod 1 13T pinion to harness up an A50 12L Hacker running 12S
JR makes a 13T but it will take an adaptor to make it work. Might be the only way to go.

I am not 100% sure, but you may be able to get by with a Bergen pinion or have Larry make you one up.

We can do a 13 Tooth but it has to use the adaptor for either 5 or 6mm and will need to be supported on top with a bearing. Also 10, 11 and 12 teeth.

Hey I appreciate it Bobby!
I just walked back in from the shop where I ground the shafts on both my A50s down to 5mm. I went through this crap a couple years ago playing with the 6mm shafted Axis.
I also don't have any room for an adaptor here either. It's got to be a regular set screwed pinion like the MA part or the Mikado pinions.
This A50 12S may take 14S to work well anyway and I don't have any ESCs yet that will go there.
On the other hand Gary ran the #s on the A50 12S and it's supposed to out torque the 32-3 hands down with both on 12S and it weights about 2 ounces or more less.
Anyway I'll be surprised if the "#s" prove out. The ORK 1912 was supposed to do this too but it will probably come apart if pushed that hard. And I'm not real sure the 1915s will work real good in Helis but we'll see soon enough. The power is there but its got problems with heat and the rotors just like the Hackers did and the 1915 will be even harder on them.
If it works, it should bog a whole 100 RPM less than a 12S Kohler. Yeah right :lolol
And thank you too Chris.
It's good to know you've got a 13T It's one I've never been able to find and if I end up using the 12L I'll call you to get one done.
The 12S is actually supposed to be able to out pull the 12L on 12S. This I have to see. If it works like they say it will the first good cheap motor for 90 sized stuff.
I'll let you guys know how it works.

The numbers don't always tell the full story of how a model flys. B's 32-3 on 12s is a MONSTER.

Don't I know it William!
I've been running an 11s 32-3 for a year and I'm hard pressed to believe it myself.
