Are you guys mounting your Stratus tanks per the instructions or is there a "better" way to mount it?

Also, on the fuel magnet, I was thinking about mounting it more towards the outside of the tank, still on the same plane, with a longer line reaching towards the other side of the tank and mounting my pressure return near the same side. This would make the plumbing easier and would give me some room to mount it better. It would also be easier to get my needle nose plyers inside the thing.

The little square rubber feet, do you use them? Mine just fall off after a few flights. Mounted with Goop.

Final question -- are you putting anything on the nipple parts to "seal" the hole? I'm loosing a little bit of pressure I found by spraying windex on the nipples and observing bubbles being blown out by the pressure that had accumulated after a flight.

Any feedback appreciated.

I built my Stratus tanks per the instructions and have had no problems. I don't really know if the rubber feet are still attached to my tanks or not. I glued them on, installed the tape, mounted the tank, and strapped it in real tight with the provided Velcro. The tank is still secure after 140 flights on my older Stratus. I'm not a big fan of the mounting system, but so far it's working for me. The thing I don't like about it is that the Velcro is a huge oil magnet. I use MP2s and even with the exhaust extension on the Velcro gets soaked. The oil doesn't affect the Velcro any, but it's hard to clean without removing.

I also installed my fuel lines as per the instructions and I have no leaks. I use YS engines and the tank has held pressure for several hours without any sealant.
