View Full Version : JR Synthesized Rx and Tx Module--JRPR2000 and JRPTXMS
Hi Pilots,
Just wondering if anyone has used the synthesized rx and tx module and if so, any problems?
Is it as good as the 945s receiver? Any issues as far as locating away from Rx battery pack, voltage regulator, etc...
Thanks.
One More JR fan for life (I have a 10X and five helis with 945s receivers.)

TP...I have been using the PR2000 RX's and the Synth TX module for about 2 months now in a 9303 with ZERO problems...I like the set up a lot...I have the PR2000 in 5 heli's including a turbine...and have my last PR2000 going into a new Turbo Prop fixed wing I am building...so needless to say I really trust the setup...
Now with that said...I don't have any 945 RX's but do have a couple of 955's and the PR2000's seem to be just as good...
Thanks so much for your help. It's tugging at me pretty hard so I pretty sure I'll be calling Horizon soon.
One more question please, how do you mount your receivers so that you are able to access the button to change frequencies? Thanks again.

I have two synth receivers in use for a couple of months without issues.
I have my receivers wrapped up pretty good in padding, and I use velcro straps to hold everything in place. I simply unwrap everything for a frequency change.... typically at the beginning of the flying day is someone's on my channel.
Note:
I did let you go first here Greg :D

You're a funny man Elvis! we'll get along great! :D Like Clint says...
" If You Ain't Having Fun , Go Home ! "
TP...same as elvis...I use velcro and just unwrap it when needed...
And I am very sorry TP...But I just can't resist...
"huh huh...I need TP for my Bung Hole....huh huh" :DOH

BTW, on all my previous receivers, I cut the antennae wire and used a Whip antennae.... but I left the entire wire intact on the Synth receivers. I am not sure if it makes a difference, but that's the setup that is currently working for me.
I typically don't take my cell phone to the flight line when I fly.

OK elvis...this is scaring me! We seem to be thinking alike...:D
I have ALWAYS used a base loaded antenna...until I bought the PR2000's and decided I didn't want to cut the wire! And I am paranoid about having my cell on me when I fly...it stays either in my flight box or in the car...
maybe Great minds do think alike! HA! :noteworthy
