I've been running only Jet A with the Aeroshell Turbine 500 oil mix.
I went to LA jets couple of weeks ago,I noticed everyone using Kerosene. Is it simply because Kerosene is easier to buy than Jet A?
Is that True if so, why?? Jet helicopter pilot prefer JET A and Jet airplane pilot prefer Kerosene ??!!.......
Where can i buy Kerosene???

Well Kero is easier to get, you can even get it in Home Depot.
I have heard mixed reasons for K1 over Jet A or vice/versa. One of them has a higher sulphur content, not sure which. Both burn well, I have only used Kero.
Probably costs less too, not sure tho, when I last bought it was 2.35 in bulk. That was a year ago.

I have a bulk supply of both JetA1 and kerosene here on site. I will always choose JetA1 because it has less sulphur content and will produce less carbon build up and burns cleaner and at a lower temp. This is the reason why full size turbines run on it, to get long life from the engine. In the model turbine enviroment however, the times between overhaul are a lot less, so it is not a problem running on the cheaper kerosene. Also helicopters tend to work harder and hotter than the fixed wing turbines. I also use a cheap, mineral grade of turbine oil, its better known as hydraulic oil, it costs about £1 a litre, a lot less than aeroshell T500, which is too good for this application anyway and a waste of money in my opinion.
