My latest rig for the field. I love these TP1010's!! Also has 2 x TP210V's and 2 x Radio Shack 25A DC P/S's in the bottom. Plus the left over generator capacity makes you more popular at the field.

Cool setup. I have the same charges with the balancer and they are great together. I charge from my car battery while the car is on, is this OK???

So long as your alternator can keep up, sounds fine!

Hi,

I have always had my TP charger set at 100% full charge, recently I tried a charging some 10s1p packs with the Fast Charge setting but I still set the charge rate to 1C. They didn't seem to charge any quicker.

Call me thick but can someone explain the what the different charge settings actually do, as the manual is crap.

Simon.

Hi,

What would be the best and quickest way to charge my packs ? I have the 2 TP1010C's and 2 TP205's and I have 4 packs of 5s4p 8000mAh.

Could i do them in parallel or series ?

Simon.

I like to keep my battery pairs straight. So I charge both packs from a pair at the same time, one on each charger. Using fast charge, they're usually ready to fly again in about 45min to an hour(charged at .75C). I have 3 pairs now, and have only caught up to the charging cycle once. (meaning I have only had to wait for batteries once). I go to the field with them all charged, and stop charging when I know that I'll be leaving in about an hour or two. I try to go home with all three pairs discharged. I may be missijng something, but I think I have better visibility on the balance status and final voltage this way, reading from the 1010c.

Hi,

Thanks, so you charge each pair of 5s on a seperate charger ?

What would be the difference if I charge my 5s4p 8000mAh in the following on my tp1010c,

1. Full Charge 100% @8A
2. Charge to 95% @8A
3. Fast charge @8A

I don't understand the differences
