Hello all,
Actually, i like Spektrum Dx7 very much ( average price ).

Unfortunely, my locate shop ( which is quit a distance ) did not keep stock on Dx7. ( i think Jr have release new transmitter, DSX7 ) which i already have wait for Three months.

Now, i have to consider Jr DSX7 and DSX9.

Can someone help me were to download PDF for DSX7 and DSX9?

Can someone advice me which i should take?

Thanks in advance.

DSX7 is the international version of the DX7. Basically the same, except the throttle trim is digital on the the DSX7, so you can more easily swap between Mode 1 and Mode 2. Maybe some other differences.

DSX( is the international version of the X9303. VERY nice radio. More memories, 2048 resolution (with appropriate Rx), better screen, better graphics, more mixes.

Hi Pinecone,
For the DSX9, is the program mix same as X9303 ?
Some thread did mention the timer on DSX7 have been remove, what about DSX9 ?
Can DSX9 work on Real Flight simulator or others flight simulator ?

Thanks in advance.

The menues are the same for DSX9 and X9303
Dsx9 have a timer.
It works atleast on realflight, so yes it should work on any sim.

Hi Roadrune,
Thanks for your information, i will get DSX9 then.

Hello There,
Finally, i call the local shop.
You know what, "They say only come in mode 2 and Not in mode 1"

Actually, i flew my heli, Hirobo 555 in 1983 with JR FM radio in mode 1 ( Throttle on right side and idle up on right side also )

Then, in 1984, i flew KALT Baron 60 with my JR PCM9 radio in mode 1 which idle up 1 and 2 on right side and throttle hold on left side.

ah.....with gyro ( which is with two metal wheels and small motor, Futaba )

Then, i stop in 1994 due to my family problem and off couse finance issued. ( At that time the fly simulator is not that good. )

I think i have stop long enough and decide to START back ( after all, human life is so short , and my age going to 49 )

So....now, back to heli...

For JR mode 2, the ile up in on left side and throttle hold on right side. I know for software side to changing the mode ( mode 2 to mode 1 ) is not a problem but what the switches. ( idle up and throttle hold )

My question - is it easy to amend or modify those wires and swithes ?

Oh...my god....can some one help me up........:arggg:

You can change mode's on the stick's by software, you could actually have different mode on different model's if you wish.

However, as you say, the switches are on the wrong side. fl.mode on right, and th-hold on left, i checked, and to relocate the switches, you need to lenghten the wires internally, for me it was not worth the risk, so i just live with it.

Hi Roadrune,
Yes,i know, different mode on different model.
These local shop only stock on mode 2.If i ask him to order mode 1, i think it will take for some months ( he have to finish off his stock ).

Any way, thanks again, Roadrune.

I think i have to buy mode 2 and get use on the switches ( hopefully, i don't toggle on the WRONG switch. )

You can move the switches. You may have to extend some wires, but that isn't that hard to do.

Hi Pinecone,
Yes. it is not hard to do. I got a diaploma in electronic engineering.
Thanks.

Hirobo 555!

Very cool!

I have not seen one a a few decades. Interesting head with no washout control.

Sorry for the digression.

Hi Ah Clem,
Yap...Hirobo 555....very..very...cool!:banana

It take me 3 months to off the ground.( Off couse, break a lot of things, not simulator at that time )

Actually, first month without gyro. ( very expensive ), using REVO to control it.

then, decided to buy one which is JR.

Thanks.

ecupro,

I never owned a 555, but set up a few Falcon Mk I's, Mk II's, 505's and 555's for people, many moons ago.

No gyros either (we thought they were for wimps-we were all young and dumb then in my group).

Still have two 808's and a canopy for a 707.

Good machines all!

Got my first JR equipment (Century VII's marked for Circus Hobbies) in time for the 1984 Nationals-man am I old...

Hello Ah Clem,
Yes, Hirobo 808 is a good machine, and can upgrade to 888.

After the Kalt Baron 60, i flew on Schluter, Champion ( which is use ) in 1990, i think.
Then, modify the "Head" to Xcell ( in 1993 ) ....and lot of modify on the side flame.:YeaBaby:

Hello there,
After download the pdf for Jr X9303, 2.4 Ghz ( Not DSX9, can not find ), in the menu, there is a "DEVICE SELECT".
This "DEVICE SELECT" can set FM ( Flight Mode ) either Flap Switch or AUX 2 which both of them can toggle 3 position ( 0 - normal, 1 - idle 1 and 2 - idle 2 ):YeaBaby:

Note: Both switches are on Front Pannel, Flap switch on left side and AUX 2 switch on right side.

That means, you can select AUX 2 switch for mode 1 and Flap switch for mode 2.
That means, you not need to modify those wires.:clappp

But, the question is, when you order the DSX9, they mention on the "Switches" for which mode you are using.

Very confuse.....:bomb::confused:

Can some one help me out!

Thanks in advance.

My apologies for not being able to assist with the Mode 1/2 changes-I do not have the knowledge.

Are you planning on restorring the Schluter? Those are nice machines!
