Hello,

I've been flying an AXE cp-l for two weeks. Total newb to helis...I passed the hovering phase and began to use the throttle up switch and was doing some forward motion and was doing great till I got a little too confidend, and yes, the inevitable happened!!! Heli went sideways and the crash kit got cought on the grass and the main blades hit the grass at idle-up.

The heli didn't get damaged cosmetically at all, but when I throttle up now, all it does is get enough blade rotation to skid on the ground, and it now tends to slide to the left.

Being a total noob, I don't even know where to start. I did notice that when I throttle up, the swashplate barely moves down.

Has anyone here had a similar experience that could help me solve my problem?

Thanks,

Roccoym

Where to begin...

...what did you replace?

Von,

I haven't replaced anything on it. I also noticed that one of the blade grips over rotated, but all I had to do was to rotate it back to it's original position. Thanks

Inspect the blades and make sure they are not damaged. If you see any damage on the wooden blades you should replace them.

Make sure the flybar is perfectly straight, and that the paddles are lined up with the see-saw. Also make sure the paddles are not rotating freely. Sometimes the flybar will break the stubs on the see-saw and the paddles will rotate easily.

If you are noticing any wobble at spin-up you might have a bent feathering shaft or main shaft.

Check to make sure the swash plate is level. In normal mode, throttle down, your servo arms should be horizontal. And, the control rods should be straight.

Good luck, hopefully you will get it flying again soon.

Von,

Sorry for taking so long to reply. The problem was the screw that holds the head on to the main shaft had completely come out and it took me a while to actually notice it. One the screw was replaced, i once again had up and down pitch. Back in business... :Bang

Thanks for your help!!!
