View Full Version : Wohoo! Realflight G3's Expansion Pack 1 rocks!

I'm sure many have seen the Expasion Pack 1 for G3, but if not, seriously, look into picking it up! It's got some great helis in it.

MA's Ion-X, Bergen Intrepid 90, and the Bergen Intrepid Gasser! I think these three helis alone are worth the price of the software. The Ion-X hovers super nice. Probably the nicest heli I've hovered yet. It's so smooth - it floats like a butterfly. The little HeliMax MX400 is in there too, but I don't care to much for the micro helies! 'Bought time Realflight gets some genuine manufacturer's helis in it. Not that I don't like the original helis, but just knowing there are real, production machines to fly makes it more fun for me.

By the way, the X-29 is in there too! It does over 200mph! I took off from the run way, full throttle, pulled up the landing gear, and before I started turning it back, it was so far gone, I lost orientation!

This is a nice addition. Glad I bought it!

Hi,

Can you tell me if it has the engine torque profiles for the Zenoah 231 Gasser.

I want something close to my MA Spectra-G. If it has the Zenoah, then i can make a custom Spectra-G using the ION-X as a base and changing the engine specs.

I'm glad to hear that you like having the manufacturer aircraft in the simulator. Lots of guys, including myself, are glad that we started doing this. I'm hoping everyone will like what we're putting in Expansion Pack 2.

CustomPC: No, neither RealFlight G3 or the Expansion Pack 1 product have torque profiles for the 231. You can make your own motor torque curves. I believe there was a Dominion 3D based gasser model floating around here somewhere.

Travis, I think it brings a whole new feel to the game, having something you can actually connect with. Good to hear you're working on a second expansion pack! I'm sure you can't share to many details, but could I ask how many helis there will be in it?

I can't give many details. I can say there will be a few helicopters. There won't be a Cobra, but I'd be willing to bet that you'll like what you are going to see.

Awesome! Cobra or no Cobra, I'm sure it will be another great addition. Any target release dates as of yet?

Expansion Pack 1 is great. The x400 in the expansion flies just like a trex, but slightly underpowered. If you change the motor to the mega 16/15/3, then it boosts the headspeed and acts more like a Rex on 4S.

Any idea how to make that like a 3s?
