My fat clumsy fingers managed to bend the small wire coil within the Zenoah spark plug boot. I managed to bend it back close to it's original shape but i am not confident that it is as good as it should be.
The local Zenoah agents are out of stock of the replacement part so i went to a local lawn mower shop.
They said the NGK boot pictured below would work fine.
It's NGK part number LBER.
Opinions please. I don't want to risk damaging the motor or heli.
Can i use this boot set or should i use the MA resistor spark plug set.

That boot should work just fine as long as it fits the plug.

I have not had much luck using the MA resistor plug cap. I found that the rubber meant to support the plug cap on the plug wore away so the cap became a loose fit on the body of the plug and was able to vibrate. I also found that inside the cap where it attaches to the plug electrode does not have much of a solid contact so the caps vibration caused that brass inside to ware and I find a lot of brass shavings around the plug.
I am concerned that this lose fit may be causing my engine to miss fire as the cap bounces around on the plug. I will be changing back to the orginal red silicon boot and spiral wire as this was a more solid connection

An update on the pictured NGK LBER cap.
It does not fit the plug too well because it is designed for 12mm threaded plugs. The plugs we use are 10mm threads.
I can't source the stock zenoah coil spring locally so i'm going to check if the metal contact from the LBER will fit inside the stock boot and provide a secure enough fit.

Hey Custom
NGK also make a resistor plug cap.|

I haven't tried it yet as my Spectra (second hand) came with a NGK LB10EH which is much more compact resistor plug cap.
I haven't flown the heli yet as I am in the process of total strip down and rebuild.
I got the first cap from an automotive spare parts supplier.
I reckon any automotive shop that has NGK will be able to get a cap for you, just give them the part number.

I ordered something that looks just like what is in the picture hoping to use it on my Spectra but I ordered it from a motorcycle place. I found that it would fit on my spark plug but since it was taller and sticks out to the side so much that the wire from the coil isn't long enough to reach with this boot on. I suppose I could have mounted the coil somewhere closer to the plug but I didn't want to mess with it.

Here is a picture of the LB10EH and a quote.
Yes the plug lead is a bit short, The coil has to be moved. MA have made provisions for mounting on the base plate.

"NGK spark plug resistor covers used with resistor spark plugs are the best combination against radio frequency interference. Protects aging engines from cutting out in wet conditions. Use with 7mm-diameter plug wire."
Here is a picture of my machine in its current state of rebuild.
