Setup a page to keep track of 14MZ updates from both the Flyers Club (FFC) and Robbe at: http://www.rcfan.com/radios.html . A RunRyder member will help keep Robbe updates coming (don't know if he frequents HF, but if he does I'll let him jump in if he wishes to become public). Hopefully Futaba will heed our request to have an "official" site established for ALL 14MZ owners where this page will not be needed; for now, this is all we can do.

I verified that the last two updates (04-13-06 and 04-08-06, or one turned into two) were identical in content between FFC and Robbe. In addition, I took one of my radios already at the 04-13-06 patch and installed every update from each support house starting from the first Robbe one. As I expected (and I'm happy I wasn't wrong, phew), all updates worked on my "English"/"American"-coded radio and presumably (hopefully) will operate just as well on all other region versions. If anyone is willing to try, take a look at that first Robbe patch ... some interesting Japanese menus and funky Windows IME stuff shows up during the install process. Do post back the results if you do try.

... and before any 12Z owners ask, see what Futaba's FAQ says about updating 12Z with 14MZ software: http://www.futabarc.com/faq/faq-12z-q868.html

I wonder if the 12 update fixes the swash detail issues. Man I LOVE a software updatable radio!!

Rock on Futaba!!

Didn't get anything with my 12Z that had anything to do with the website. How do I get a logon??

This is a independently run site with public access to 14MZ and (now) 12Z updates ... no logon required.

I understand but if I want to get the official updates straight from Futaba, how do I get a login to do so?

If you purchased the unit in the US, then send an email to Futabaflyersclub@hobbico.com

Or, go to http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_125/tt.htm and post your question there.
