Hey guys, just like the header says! Is this a fragile heli? If I had a small (I know, I know) crash, does this thing self destruct? Or is it pretty strong?
Thanks
Hulley
The Ion-X might be the best flying big e-heli on the market, and with all its carbon fibre it is very strong as well. You will love it, no doubt about that.

Doesn't like to land with anything else then skids first

It has similar construction to the Extreme/Tempest. U-Channels between the frames.
I would say they are at least as durable as any other E-Machines. The other benefit of the Ion-X is that the packs are on the outsides of the frames, so in a crash, they can separate from the airframe. I am flying a set of Tanic's that have been crashed a couple of times.

Have you ever seen a Fury Extreme crash?? if so the Ion will take just as much abuse as the frame design is simular
