I have mavrikks direct tail its the carbon fiber servo mount that uses the two bottom screws of the main frame and it fits in between the two halves of frame.Im having a problem the the belt loosing everytime i run the heli and you can hear the belt tapping inside the boom. I have tried tighten the screws but that doesnt seem to work no matter how tight they are i can still pull on the boom and tighten the belt ,i think the problem is with the carbon servo holder making a 1/8 or so gap in between the frames and keeping it from getting tight. Does anyone have this setup and if so how can i keep the belt tight?

Thanks

Can you install the servo mount on the outside of the two boom clamp pieces instead of between them? I have never seen the Mav boom servo mount, sorry.

Felony44,

Will is correct. Standing over top of the helicopter and looking down you should put the tail bracket on the outside of the frame on the right side.

The stock OEM Raptor with OEM tail boom can even have occasional issues with keeping the tail boom tight.

The frames are made so that the 4 screws that hold the tail boom in place squeeze the tail boom between frames.

You must have really had to work hard to get the bracket between the frame halves. I would think it would crack the frame halves if you put much torque on the bolts.

Care should also be taken to make sure that the tail rotor control rod does not hit the tail boom supports as it travels to the tail rotor bell crank.

Some people put a spacer on the tail boom support bracket and use a slightly longer screw.

Hope this helps.

I was told to mount it between the frame which was wrong so i changed it and i have since made my first flight and the pilot who test flew it said it was rock solid
