Canopies

Does anyone know where i can get a fiberglass canopy for my venture 30? I dislike the stock one that came with it :(

Ask some of the painters that have used HHI fiberglass canopies about them before you buy one.
They will give you there opinion of them.

The one for the Voyager fits. If memory serves me, I think you'll need shorter standoffs but it will fit perfectly

the voyager 50 canopy works without changing anything on the venture and looks alot nicer...i put one on mine when i had a venture 50 :roll:

Yeah, the voyager and venture canoopies are interchangeable

And the Voyager canopy looks MUCH nicer. Makes it look like a mini Vigor. The Venture canopy is just plain UGLY!

I had Canopy FX order a Voyager canopy for my Venture.

It was ordered from MTA and then painted by Joe. I have found that there are several minor mods to make to get the canopy to fit correctly.

First, the indentations on the top sides are not positioned correctly for the Venture mechanics, so you'll need to grind them out further back. Second, as was mentioned above, the front standoffs need to be shortened a good bit. I'm switching mine to a screw on mount to help minimize the amount of spread needed to mount the canopy. I also found that the bottom of the canopy was bumping up against the forward gear strut and needed some minor trimming. Last, but definitely not least, the two rear mounting holes were already drilled and one was WAY off (almost a 1/2").

It's a great looking canopy and the paint job from FX is sweet, but the mounting process was NOT a simple bolt on process.
