Hi all,

For those of you running a Cline'd OS91 (CSpec NON-BigBore to be more specific),
can you tell me what you have the carb needles set to?

I'm just sort of curious and I'm seeing on mine about 1/2 turn on the
high end and it's making merely OK power although it probably hasn't
reached it's stride yet. It certainly doesn't sound lean @ 1/2 nor does
the plug look stressed out.

I am about 3/4 turn or little less on the OMI carb non BB. Midrange is less than 1 turn.
30% Cool Power and SB 16 Hatori.

Thanks DH.

I'm running CY30% on the special Zimmerman muffler that is required for this
machine (Joker Acrobat).

Just got off the phone w/ James.

He said that since one of the things he does is slightly bore out the carb body
passage, that there can be a variation in high needle setting since the needle
never really fully closes anymore and that OS doesn't hold tolerances between
the top of the shoulder of the carb body and the shoulder of the needle itself.

He did say he's seen anywhere from 1.5-0.25 on the high needle (about 0.5-.75 on
the mid seems 'normal').

And of course, at the end of the day, you need to tune by ear and performance.
If the engine is happy and transitioning well, let it be.
