If you look at the diagram below you will see part # 115-20. There are four places this part is called for. I want the two parts that support the canopy at the rear of the canopy. I have ordered this part number (115-20) and this is not correct. This part is the forward frame spacers that go inbetween the frames near the gyro support platform.
I need a separate part number for the canopy support. I called the shop where I order from and they show the same part number for all four pieces. They don't know the correct part.
If I order 115-20 then they are too short and don't hold the canopy away from the main gear far enough.
Any ideas?

Lately, I've had issue with MA part numbers, drawings, etc
Part numbers superseded or incorrect in drawings. Assemblies not labeled as such when ordering, etc. Perhaps the part you need is 106-41. That's a 35mm spacer. Double check though with Ricks or GravesRC. I've found both to be helpful, especially the later.

Jeff,
115-20 is the correct canopy standoff for the Expert/Extreme rear provided your using the double ball to hold the canopy in place. If your trying to use thumb screw instead of the ball, yes the standoff is too short.
If you want to use rear thumb screws. You can use the rear standoffs from the Tempest.
The part number is 122-27.

David, I thought Tempest canopy and Fury canopy are significantly different in size?

I have ran Fury canopies on the Tempest and Tempest canopies on the Fury.
They are same physical size. The difference being the rear mount locations. On the Expert/Extreme the rear mounts are offset from each other on each side. On the Tempest they are directly across from each other and mount in the top holes of the rear vertical channel.
The Expert/Extreme canopy has the bubble on the left side. The Tempest canopy has the recesses down each side of the canopy.

122-27 it is. Thanks.
What's the consensus on using the thumb screws? I have been just using an allen head screw. Do the thumb screw stay tight?
Thanks again.

I use the MA thumb screws. They work great and have a step that fits inside the grommet. Yes I don't have any problems keeping them tight. I have lost one in the last two years. I have them on both my helis at all four standoffs.

I use medium balls in front and the thumb screws in back on my Ion's. I put a tiny bit of locktite on the thumb screw threads occasionally.
Ricko makes the coolest standoff sets for Extreme/Tempest. I had them on all my glow machines.
