i hate to be dull; this seems like such a freshman question.

installing the servo horns on the G4 SE: is it really necessary to disassemble the entire frame and servo block to put these on? am i missing something completely obvious? looks quite the PITA to install now that i've got the whole frame built up :arggg:

You did not miss anything. The servos need to be removed from the frame to install the servo arms. Make sure they are centerd @ 90deg away from the main shaft when you put them on. I use a small servo tester to power the servos. IF you use your radio make sure your throttle stick is centered as well. Also make sure your pitch curve is set ou linear. You can probabaly get away with pulling 2 of the 3 servos.

Hey Steve,

What are are servo horn measurements for the link balls on the G4 setup? The HS56 arms have 4 holes, did you move them all the way out?

Thanks,

You have to move them in one hole compared to what you ran on teh SE (if you had the align frames at all) or the elevator arm will hit your motor. Once I had mine build and to use a 28mm motor like the Medusa, I had to move the balls in to the second hole on all the HiTec arms, they had previously been in the 3rd hole on my SE.
