All, Mark from RR and I got along once when my videos brought him MAJOR viewers. Tonight on RR I tried to post the fact that I now had videos here on HeliFreak and he not only deleted my posts but removed my account!

Go figure why someone with a place like RR has to do Censorship? I did not even do anything that bad!

Personally I like this place better as we are free here to discuss and say anything without the worry of "Mark" Censoring what we say!

So my vidoes will be moving here for all to see thanks to Will who has a MUCH farther thinking attitude than Mark!

Mark has been responding on RR now and leaving a "What Happened" post on RR. Since I cant defend myself or tell my side of the story I will post it here:

Mark wont let me reply to defend myself.
He is NOT telling the complete story. Only the parts that favor his side. I did not attack him. He should have been able to work out the issue with me but choose not to even try to contact me before deleting my account and posts.

I am not going to call him and beg to be back or anyting. He basically over reacted to me posting a link from another site (here) on his site.

The bottom line and how this went down is as follows.

I was asked to do videos for the HDX450 by helidirect of which I had no interesting in buying that heli. Steve said he would give me one if I did a build video for it but that he wanted a water mark in the corner.

That same evening I was contacted to do "finless" videos for the Trex600 and the Hirobo Lepton. Same thing they wanted a water mark.

I called up Mark Ryder to discuss this water mark as I figured it might be an issue. I told Mark that I want to do the videos as I like doing them but could not afford to buy all these heli's myself. The Lepton yes but the Trex600 and HDX I had no desire to own.

Mark understood but said now they have a marketing flair to them and quote "This was new ground for him" and he did not know how to handle it. I told him both these companies pay him now for advertising so whats the problem? Maybe he can work out some kind of fee? He wasnt interested.

I told him I am going to do the video in any case and he said fine but I wont host them. I said OK.....

So then Will here at the freak agreed to post them for me.... All fine and good.

The next day I go over to RR and make a new post "HDX Videos available here" and posted a link to Helifreak. Mark deleted it and then went and made helifreak a bad word so a link could not be posted.

I created a new post asking Mark WHY he wont allow links to other sites with relavent content? He never responded, deleted the post and then my account.

He says he got sucker punched but in fact I got sucker punched......
At no time did he tell me I could not make a post to a link of information "somewhere" else and if I did I would get deleted!

I personally think it is unfair competitve practice that Mark blocks or filters links to other sites with content worth sharing with others! He is trying to control information sharing to his site only.

Why use a forum where you arent allowed to get all the facts?

Any post that even mentions you gets deleted shortly there after. I dont understand how posting videos on this forum is against his policy. Deleting posts that question what is going on is just lame!

Damn Finless I was just scanning through RR and all of your posts are all deleted. Ryder is such a child. Now they have to lift the ban on Willy and we can enjoy his crazy posts. :lol:

Did you have any kind of deal with Mark making your videos exclusive to his site? If so, then I can understand him being upset. However, even if that is the case, it is bad form to remove you completely from that site. It is even worse to delete the posts of those who ask about it. He will be deleting for a long time to come. Oh well, his loss. Those guys will eventually all make it here.

RR's loss and Will who runs this place GAIN! My Videos will all be up here but I have to go all through it again and compress them and upload them.

I am not trying to fight with Mark but his rules and Censorship just SUCK! I dont feel I did anything wrong for him to delete my account completely!

Let me please tell you the story.......

When I first started posting my videos and people asked them to be a sticky, Mark called me up and we talked for a freakin hour as he explained all his "rules" to me. Most of which made no sense at all... I realize Mark and Will are running a business here and advertising is part of what makes these forums exist.

Anyway, Mark did not WANT to post my videos but they were getting SOOOO much reaction he almost had no choice so he did but REMINDED me weekly about the rules. Bottom line they brought a HUGE amount of people to RR for the Trex which are mostly new heli people anyway.... So he was loving it as long as it was good for him!

As weeks went on and I kept kicking out video after video, he called me and said he would have to LIMIT videos to one per week! He just did not have time to handle my output level!!!!! OK I said I can handle that.

Then I contacted him about doing the HDX 450 videos but that because I got the heli kit for free to do videos of the build (only the kit by the way nothing else) I needed to put a water mark on them of Helidirect.com. Now mind you Helidirect.com is a BIG paying advertiser to Mark! BUT he would NOT post them! He figured it was EXTRA marketing he is not getting paid for! I mean give me a break!

Bottom line folks... my videos were breaking all his "marketing" rules. He even said to me many times... This is "NEW ground and I dont know how to handle it".... "It is marketing and is borderline on my rules". I told him I would continue to do them if I posted them to RR or somewhere else! He kept posting them WHY? Becasue it brought users to his site!!!! Well thats gone now and now I am supporting a place like Helifreak.com because William is a better person and much more forward thinking!

Yes unbelievable!!!! Not only did he delete my account for no reason (I violated NONE of his rules and it was due to critizism I left on a post about blocking links), but my 2 years work of contributions to the heli community are gone as well.

Personally deleting my account was OK but to remove ALL my posts and contributions is nothing more than a NAZI attitude to everyone. PURE censorship!

One thing that I got a huge laugh over, after being seriously pissed off about it, was when I found that RR censors words that aren't even bad words!

Try to write a post with the word "freak" in it.

Basically you can't even say that you freaked out about something, because Mark is afraid that people will come to this site!

In the past I thought that people were overreacting to Mark's rules. Then I saw more and more folks get kicked off for little things. Bob is just the latest. I have several PMs from Greg Alderman that show up as "User Deleted" because he was booted not too long ago.

I think I'll be spending even more time on "The Freak". Now where is that chat room link...? ;-)

Hi Finless, RR's loss is helifreaks gain! I once said about RR that I was there because you were. I'm now a helifreak for the same reason. Please keep the knowledge coming for those of us who really appreciate it!

Can't believe he erased your posts. I went from a "Key Veteran" to a "Veteran" as a result. Like I care. Erasing your posts dropped the knowlege level of the RR forum by a multitude! That can't be good for the hobby!

Sorry to here about you getting banned finless. There is a thread right now about where you went. I just posted my opinion on this issue and I would not be surprised if I get banned next. I was not mean at all in my post, I just stated that I thought it was pretty stupid for you to be banned for sharing YOUR videos that YOU made on YOUR time with other forums.

Oh well, I was getting bored with RR anyway. I was already a member here from when I had my Tiger 50, so it looks like I am going to post here more often now.
