Travel Case

Hello everyone, I'm just wandering if you guys know where I can get a Travel Case for my Raptor 50. I will be moving to London on September to study an LLM and will absolutely bring my heli with me.

Any pointers will surely be appreciated.

a hard sided suit case will do the trick and just pull the boom and head and pack them in the case you should be fine Dino

Here is my Rappy 50's in Curtis case you can also put 2 90's in it,got newer one with foam filled it alot easier to pack up= Check ZOOM"S heli's I think

i notice they "Zooms Hobbies" got 2 diff type of casing, one is the " LIKE A GLOVE HELI CASE " and " Helicopter Cases "

both the casing have HUGE price differents :shock:

May i know what is the different between those 2 ? ?

one case fits like a glove you don't need anything to pack heli's just take boom off and store in case were there is a special cut out to fit them , the other one you need to make something to secure heli's in case so they stay in one place so there is no damage
fit like a glove is allott better and faster to pack and unpack :smokin: :smokin:

I got mine used but in perfect condition,I had the regular one before and got :D FITS LIKE A GLOVE :smokin: and sold the regular one I had for $100.00

Guys thanks for the info. The case from zoomshobies. looks great but is way overpriced. I think the the case from SBK cases may be the best bet. Again, thanks for your replies.

I am 99% sure that is not the case you want. It's basically round (in cross-section) to
fit a golf bag.

Ok guys, after looking around on the web I think that, due to its internal dimentions, this will be the best bet.

It is from the SKB industrial low profile line and I think it would fit the Raptor 50 (even the new titan) without disasembly.

What do you guys think?

WOW ! i Email Zoom Heli about the "Glove Case' they say it will take them 45 days to make OMG so long.

But if i get the case that CY use to sell, how do i make all the mounting for the heli so i will stay in the case with out moving around ?

I wouldn't settle for anything less than being able to put the heli in the case WITH the boom in place, at best a main blade removal but I would even try to aviod that. This business of removing the boom to transport is for the birds. Airline rule or not forget it. :badair: :BSS :woot :FThat
